# Connect Linear to Evelin

> Authorize a Linear workspace, check the connection, and try a focused issue request from Threads.

Connect Linear so Evelin can find issues and, when permitted, create or update them from customer conversations.

## Before you start

Use the intended Protodesk workspace. You need permission to manage its integrations and permission to authorize the app in the Linear workspace you want to connect. Evelin must be available in your Protodesk workspace.

## Connect Linear

1. Open **Evelin AI → Integrations**.
2. Select **Connect Linear**.
3. In the Linear authorization window, confirm the workspace and review the requested access.
4. Choose the teams the app may access, then authorize the connection.
5. Return to Protodesk and check that Linear shows **Connected** and the expected workspace name.

You do not need to paste a personal Linear API key into this connection flow. If no authorization window opens, check your browser's popup settings and try again.

## Try a focused request

Open a conversation in **Threads** and ask Evelin to look up a real issue key, for example: “What is the status of PRO-123?” Replace the example with an issue in an authorized team.

For a write test, use an issue created for testing and state exactly what should change. Check the issue in Linear afterward. Connecting does not make all requests read-only: permitted actions can change real Linear records.

## Manage the connection

Select **Manage** to control Evelin access and individual permissions. Save any permission changes.

If the connection needs authorization again, use **Reconnect** from its connection menu and complete the Linear flow. Reconnecting is for restoring or renewing access, not a step required before every request.

Use **Disconnect** when you want to remove the connection. If Protodesk reports that remote revocation could not be confirmed, also remove the app in Linear's application settings.
