Before you start
- Connect Linear in Evelin AI → Integrations.
- Open Manage and enable Evelin access plus the required planning or conversation-link permissions. Select Save changes. These additional capabilities may be off even when basic issue actions are available.
- Open the relevant conversation in Threads, then open Ask Evelin.
- Use an issue from a team authorized in Linear.
List available projects and cycles
Start with the issue whose planning you want to change:List projects and cycles for PRO-123.Options are scoped to that issue’s team. A list can be incomplete when many options match; narrow your request rather than assuming it contains every project or cycle. Use the returned exact project name, cycle name, or cycle number in the next request. If cycles are disabled for the team, there may be no cycle options to list. An empty list is different from a failed connection. Configure cycles in Linear if your team wants to use them; Evelin does not enable that setting for you.
Assign or remove a project
To assign an existing project:Set PRO-123’s project to Launch. To remove its project assignment:
Set PRO-123’s project to none.Removing the assignment does not delete the project or the issue. Project selection must resolve to one existing option available to the issue’s team. If names are ambiguous or no exact match is found, clarify the selection before requesting the change again.
Assign or remove a cycle
Use an existing cycle’s exact name or number, or request the current or next cycle:- “Set PRO-123’s cycle to Cycle 12.”
- “Move PRO-123 into the current cycle.”
- “Move PRO-123 into the next cycle.”
- “Set PRO-123’s cycle to none.”
Link the current conversation to an existing issue
From the conversation you want to reference, ask:Link this conversation to PRO-123.Evelin adds a Support conversation in Protodesk link to the Linear issue. The target is the current conversation, not an arbitrary URL selected from a message. This link action does not copy the conversation’s messages into Linear. The link does not grant access to Protodesk. Someone opening it still needs the appropriate Protodesk account and conversation access. Check that you are in the intended conversation before requesting the link. Creating a new issue is different: its description can contain selected conversation details as well as a link. If you only want a reference on an existing issue, use the link request above.
